Ties and Bow Ties

It's a way to communicate with others, a sign of respect for those around us. That's why it must be beautiful, meaningful, and well-made. A tie is a statement of style.

The bow tie (papillon) consists of a small, symmetrical bow which closes, similarly to the tie , the shirt collar. The garment can be essentially of two types:

  • The traditional knotted type consists of a ribbon tied with a knot similar to a shoe knot. The ribbon is usually shaped in various ways depending on its appearance and proportions after tying. The ribbon usually has a system that adjusts its length to fit different neck sizes without altering the shape and size of the knot.
  • The pre-assembled type, in the pin or collar version, is an adaptation of the more recent traditional one, not loved by many enthusiasts of the object, in which the knot is sewn, which can also be adjusted in length.
